The Moroccan photographer, Malika Sqalli, is issued from a mix cultural background, Austrian and Moroccan. Having lived in different countries since her childhood, she feels foreign and belonging to many places – and none – at the same time. This is why the themes of identity and culture inspire her in her artwork. During her stay in the Verzasca valley in Tessin, she will turn her gaze on the impacts of tourism on a place and she will wonder about the links between the culture and identity of the people living there and the mountains themselves.
