Artist's Career

Alejandro León Cannock has a Bachelor degree in Philosophy and a Master degree in Philosophy, both granted by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. For several years he dedicated his work exclusively to teaching and research. During this period, his principal topics were related to the questioning of the nature of thought and ethics understood as the aesthetics of existence.
With an increasing interest for the relations between art and life, and the omnipresent problems of the image in the world, he decided to start a training as a photographer. Thus, he first earned a technical degree in photography, and recently a Master degree in contemporary photography, both titles granted by the Centro de la Imagen in Lima.
